Far Point Animal Rescue was founded thirty years ago by Patricia and Franklin Sterner, beginning with the arrival of one blind horse named Mia in September of 1996. From that single act of compassion grew a lifelong commitment to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses in need while also giving back to the community that makes our work possible.
Our mission is rooted in hope, healing, and humanity creating a safe haven for animals while fostering a spirit of kindness and service in those who support them.
Our purpose extends beyond the barn to touch the lives of volunteers, families, and supporters who share our passion. With endless opportunities to get involved and critical funds needed to continue this vital work, Far Point Animal Rescue stands as a testament to what compassion and community can achieve together.
